My everyday object is a sneaker. Due to COVID-19, it's been really difficult to make it out to the retail store to shop. My Nike AR portal was created to mimic the effect of shopping in real-life. Consumers can launch it within their own space or outdoors and they can actually physically walk in real-life to navigate the Nike space. Additionally, with touch recognition, they can interact with elements within this portal such as rotate, scale, move and purchase the sneakers like they would in real-life.
I wanted to create a portal that you physically have to navigate through versus by pressing a button. Additionally, I wanted to experiment with creating a space within where you can walk up to and interact with objects.
